# How does Anymail Finder handle catch-all domains?

Some domains are configured as catch-all, meaning they accept emails for any address, even if the mailbox doesn't exist.

When Anymail Finder detects a catch-all domain, we apply additional verification signals beyond basic SMTP checks:
* If we're able to confidently assess deliverability, the email is marked as **VALID** or **INVALID**
* If the domain prevents reliable verification, the email is marked as **RISKY**
